My name is Brendon Pricco and I'm a senior at Okemos High School. I have a younger brother and a younger sister. I love spending time with my family as well as watching/playing sports, photography, listening to music, filming, reading, playing games, and hanging out with my friends. I plan on pursuing either a sports journalism degree or a regular journalism degree in college depending on where I go. I'd like to consider myself a half-decent writer, and hopefully you think so too after reading my blogs!

Something You Should Know

  Something you should know is as a kid I took swim lessons. I learned to jump in the water, hold my breath, to tread water, and to of course, swim. I watched my classmates grow into strong and powerful swimmers and learn to swim the length of the pool. To me, the pool was an abyss, and I feared that if I were to ever put my head in the water it would swallow me whole. Perhaps that is when I started to fear the unknown. Piece of Advice

    "Live in the moment." Most of us have all heard that many times before, but how good are we at actually following it?     This past summer was a summer like no other. We were all locked in our homes quarantining, and while I know many people who didn't follow those rules, I did. I saw my friends twice that entire summer, outside both times, and only after we were allowed to have gatherings with ten people or less involved. My friends and I decided to go meet at Cornell, where all of us went to elementary school, and play basketball. There were only six of us, so we played three on three for about half an hour. The sun beat down on us as it was a hot July day, and pretty soon we needed a break. We sat down in the cool crisp grass and took a moment to catch our breaths. My 1st Bike Ride (Personal Narrative #1)

  In the summer of 2008, I was 5 years old and getting ready for my kindergarten school year. Before that, however, I had a big challenge to take on… I had to learn how to ride a bike. The wind blew at my back as I zoomed down my long driveway in Webberville, Michigan. I felt like I was flying on my bike and made sure to look both ways before turning on the road. The rattling of my training wheels echoed across the entire neighborhood. I leaned and turned right and smoothly transition from my bumpy driveway to the smooth road. This is way easier than I thought it would be, I thought to myself. Little did I know that things would get a lot harder.
